Anonymous Debtor

We’re like a lot of other people out there in Debt Nation. My husband and I are in our early 30s, and due to some bad choices and unfortunate life events, we relied far too heavily on our credit cards. Now, we’re trying to dig our way out of the mess we made. We’re also trying to learn more about how to track our finances and build our savings so that we are never in such a precarious situation again. I am embarrassed by our debt, and it’s not something that I talk about with friends or family. Even my husband doesn’t know exactly how much we owe, although he does have a general idea.

I needed someplace where I could lay out my hopes, fears, and plans, and thus, “Anonymous Debtor” was born. I feel like I am finally taking control of my debt, and I am working on a strategy to get our credit cards paid off as soon as possible. This blog will track the results.
